Porter’s Chapel Academy baseball team picked up a 6-5 district win over Franklin Academy on Tuesday.

By the third inning, PCA trailed 2-0 until they got on the board after a wild pitch. In the fifth, the Eagles went up 3-2 after Gavin Pugh hit a single that brought in two runs. FA responded with a home run to tie the game at three.

Franklin Academy profited from two errors as they picked up runs to regain the lead. John Wyatt Massey responded with his fourth home run of the year while Pugh hit an RBI to tie things at five. Pugh would soon score from an error to give PCA the win.

Conley Johnston, Evan Gordon, Massey(1 RBI) and Pugh(2 RBIs) all had one hit in the win. Chase Hearn struck out four batters and Massey struck out two.

PCA(15-6) will host FA on Friday.
