PCA defeated Benton Academy 5-4

Vicksburg, Miss.Porter’s Chapel Academy baseball team pulled off a 5-4 win over Benton Academy on Tuesday. Just the day before, PCA was run-ruled 15-3 by BA but Tuesday night was a different story.

With PCA and BA tied 4-4 in the final inning, Carson Hays hit a double to bring home the 5-4 win. He finished the game by going 2 for 3 with 1 RBI.

Evan Gordan controlled things on the mound as he struck out six batters while Clayton McClurg struck out four batters and allowed zero hits. Landon McCollough had one hit and two RBIs. Hunter Simms, Cameron Potter, and Coltin Hancock each had a hit. 

PCA will travel to play Tensas Academy on Friday.
