PCA defeated Madison St. Joe twice on Monday

Porter’s Chapel Academy picked up two wins against Madison St. Joe on Monday night.

Game one:

The Lady Bruins went up 4-0 in the first inning but PCA responded with 10 runs after hits by Olivia Dawson, Mia Abdo, Ali Blackmon and Emily Muirhead.

Blackmon, Marley Bufkin and Muirhead picked up some late hits to force a 16-5 run rule win in the fourth.

Blackmon(one RBI), Dawson(two RBIs), Muirhead(one RBI)and Bufkin(three RBIs)all had two hits. Abdo also had one hit with two RBIs while Kendall Smith and Audrey Carraway both had an RBI.

Muirhead struck out seven batters in the victory.

Game two:

The Lady Eagles pulled off a 9-1 win in game two after Sophie Masterson hit a double that brought in three RBIs. She also struck out four batters.

Blackmon and Abdo both had a hit as PCA improves to 9-14 on the year. They will travel to play Franklin Academy on Tuesday.
