PCA finishes regular season undefeated after beating Briarfield

Porter’s Chapel Academy’s girls’ basketball team concluded an impressive regular season with a perfect record (16-0) following their
52-38 victory over Briarfield Academy on Tuesday.

Sophie Masterson showcased her jump shot skills, sinking four 3-pointers and contributing 16 points, three blocks, and six rebounds. Marley Bufkin also displayed her shooting ability, making three 3-pointers and finishing the game with 14 points and three steals. Jae’la Smith added 11 points and five rebounds, while Lauren Madison secured eight rebounds along
with her five points. Emily Muirhead scored four points, and Mia Abdo contributed two points.

The Eagles are set to play again on Thursday.

Boys:

Despite a valiant effort from the PCA boys, they suffered a narrow 46-45 loss. Ty Mack led the team with an impressive performance, scoring 30 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Taylor LaBarre scored six points, while Jase Jung, Gavin White, and Chase Hearn all chipped in with three points each.
