Pearl River softball to host a pair of Winter camps

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — As the Pearl River softball team continues to gear up for the 2024 softball season, head coach Christie Meeks and her staff have announced a pair of Winter camps.

WINTER LEAGUE
The Pearl River softball Winter League will take place January 9, 16 and 23 at the PRCC Softball Complex. The cost is $95 to participate in all three weeks. 

The first session each day will be for groups 8-11 years old and begins at 5:30 p.m. Session two is for 12-18 years old and begins at 6:45 p.m.

Only 30 spots are available for each session. Participants will have access to college coaching and will be placed into in-game situations. Shirts will be given to all participants.

ALL-SKILLS CAMP/PITCHING AND CATCHING CAMP
The Wildcats plan to host an All-Skills camp and Pitching/Catching camp on Jan. 13. The all-skills camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the cost is $75. The pitching/catching camp runs from 5-7 p.m. and costs $40. There is a discounted price of $95 if campers attend both. 

The camps are for students in grades 7-12. The camps will be based on instructional drills with college coaches.

2024 SEASON
The Wildcats will begin their pursuit of a championship on Jan. 26 as they travel to Galveston, Texas, for the Galveston College Tournament. PRCC’s first home game of the year will be on Jan. 30 against Lurleen B. Wallace.

Tickets for the 2024 season are on sale now at PRCCAthletics.com/Tickets. Season passes are $75 for softball or $100 for a softball/baseball season pass. General admission tickets are $8.
