Amiyah Hall recognized
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —
Amiyah Hall, a standout sprinter for Vicksburg High School, was recognized earlier this week by the Vicksburg Mayor and Board of Aldermen following an outstanding track and field season.
During the meeting, Hall received a plaque and words of encouragement from Alderman TJ Mayfield, Alderwoman Vickie Bailey and Mayor Willis Thompson.
Hall recently completed her junior season by capturing two state championships at the MHSAA State Track and Field Championships. She claimed titles in both the 100-meter and 200-meter races. The 200-meter championship marked her second consecutive state title in the event.
Hall is known as one of the fastest sprinters in the state of Mississippi where her name alone holds major weight as she continues to outrun all of her competition.
