Play2Wynn Basketball Camp Continues to Inspire Young Athletes
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Part two of the 22nd annual Play2Wynn Basketball Camp was held last week at Vicksburg Junior High School, drawing a large group of young athletes eager to improve their basketball skills.
The camp is led by Vicksburg native Donna Brown-Wynn, a longtime trainer known for her decades of experience working with student-athletes. Participants, ranging from elementary to high school students, spent the week running through drills, learning techniques, and building life skills on and off the court.
“At camp, I learned how to work as a team, communicate better, and step out of my comfort zone,” said camper Jada Erwin. “Most importantly, I learned how to be more independent and responsible while making great memories.”
Another camper, Layla Walker, said she learned the value of consistency and how to stay calm while practicing new skills.
The Play2Wynn camp continues to grow each year, offering local youth an opportunity to develop both as athletes and as individuals in a positive, structured environment.
