Port Gibson takes down Lanier 47-40
Port Gibson High School boys’ basketball team came out with a 47-40 win against Lanier on Tuesday.
Kam Brown knocked down four 3-pointers in the first half while Markel Derby hit one in the second quarter. Brown finished with 21 points and Jaylen Hill put up nine. Clyde Johnson added six while Derby and Damion Miller both scored three and Damion White finished with two points.
PG girls fell short 29 -55 but were led by freshmen Kennajia Goods who scored 11 points and Camara Evans who put up nine.
The Blue Waves will play Ocean Springs on Saturday.
