Power line sparks grass fire Sunday

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A power line sparked a grass fire in Warren County around midday Sunday.

Warren County Emergency Services receives a call that a tree fell on a power line on Henry Jones Road. The power line then sparked causing grass to ignite.

The fire was located in the middle of a wooded area and burned several acres.

Mississippi Forestry Commission assisted in containing the fire.

No injuries were reported with the fire.
