Sean Simpson earns first win as St. Aloysius Junior High Head Coach
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Sean Simpson picked up his first win as head coach of the St. Aloysius Junior High School girls’ basketball team on Thursday night as the Lady Flashes edged Benton Academy 16-13.
In a defensive, low-scoring matchup, St. Al led 5-2 at halftime. Joy Dement and Kelci Bingham each knocked down a 3-pointer in the second half, and Kennadi Blassingame hit key free throws in the fourth quarter to help secure the victory.
Blassingame led the Lady Flashes with seven points. Bingham followed with six, and Dement added three.
