Warren Central freshmen improve to 10-0 With road win over Raymond

RAYMOND, Miss. (VDN) — The Warren Central High School freshmen boys’ basketball team improved to 10-0 on Saturday after earning a hard-fought 48-41 road victory over Raymond. The Vikings remain undefeated under ninth-grade head coach Calvin Morgan, who has guided the team through a dominant early-season stretch.

Henry Trisby led Warren Central with 11 points, continuing his steady offensive production. Braylen Selvy followed with nine points, while Jordan Taylor added eight. Ja’Ven Lee contributed seven points in the win. Jarrad Williams finished with five, and both Cameron Zellous and Jordan Younger scored four points apiece to round out a balanced effort.

Raymond also put up a strong fight behind B. Caston, who led all scorers with 15 points. J. Terry finished with seven, E. Norman added six, and Jones contributed four. Hamilton knocked down a 3-pointer, while Lomax, Brown, and Mitchell each chipped in two points.

Warren Central will now turn its attention to a busy upcoming schedule as the team looks to keep its perfect season intact.
