Justin Greer commits to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Justin Greer, a Warren Central High School baseball pitcher, has verbally committed to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Greer announced his decision Saturday afternoon in a social media post, marking a major milestone in his athletic and academic plans.
“Super blessed to announce I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College,” the post read. “I thank God, my family, coaches, and friends for helping me along the way. Not finished yet.”
Greer received the official offer from MGCCC in September, adding to a growing list of junior college programs pursuing him. He also drew interest from Pearl River Community College, Copiah-Lincoln Community College, and East Central Community College. His first scholarship opportunity came over the summer when Hinds Community College offered him.
The junior has been a key contributor for the Vikings, spending most of last season on the mound. As a sophomore, he struck out 32 batters and earned All-District honors. His performance helped Warren Central reach the North State District Championship and secure a district title, further establishing him as one of the program’s top young arms.
Greer continues to play under Head Coach Randy Broome as he prepares for another season with the Vikings.
