Warren Central boys’ soccer defeated Murrah 5-2

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Warren Central High School boys’ soccer team earned a 5-2 win over Murrah on Tuesday night, powered by a dominant performance from Jacob Porter.

Porter finished the match with four goals, outscoring the Mustangs by himself. Daniel Wescott added one goal, while goalkeeper Mahamed Shuaibi recorded two saves in the victory.

The Vikings led 1-0 at halftime after creating numerous chances but struggling to find the net. In the second half, WC came out strong and quickly extended the lead to 4-0.

Warren Central then rotated in several junior varsity players, but Murrah capitalized and scored two goals. The Vikings responded by putting their varsity lineup back on the field, adding one more goal to secure the 5-2 win.
