VICKSBURG, Miss. – The National Weather Service has issued a severe cold weather warning beginning on Sunday, as well as an update for the possibility of snow.

The low is currently expected to be 18˚ Sunday night for the Vicksburg area.

A winter weather threat next week continues to be possible starting Monday evening, with a 20 percent chance of snow showers after midnight. On Tuesday, the current predictions call for 40 percent chance of snow showers, with a high near 35˚.

Vicksburg’s last snowfall was in January of 2021, receiving nearly 2 inches of snow.

The forecast will continue to be updated each day and additional adjustments are likely.
