St. Aloysius Flashettes and Cheerleaders to host Kiddie Camp on August 9
VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN)—The St. Aloysius Flashettes and cheerleaders are gearing up to host their annual Kiddie Camp on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at the Vicksburg Catholic School Gym. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and is open to children from Pre-K through sixth grade.
According to a school flyer, participants will have the opportunity to “cheer and dance with the St. Aloysius Cheerleaders and Flashettes,” while also preparing for a special performance. Campers will showcase what they learn during a halftime show at a future St. Aloysius home football game.
The camp aims to introduce young children to the fundamentals of cheerleading and dance in a fun, energetic setting while giving them a taste of what it’s like to perform in front of a crowd. The $75 registration fee covers the full three-hour session, and instruction will be provided by members of the St. Aloysius varsity squads.
Both the Flashettes and cheerleaders are coming off a successful summer. At a recent camp held at Mississippi State University, five cheerleaders were named All-Americans and the team collected multiple awards. The Flashettes also had a standout performance at their Mississippi State camp, where eight of their dancers earned All-American honors.
The camp is expected to draw a strong turnout and serves as a fundraiser for the teams while fostering school spirit and youth involvement in athletics.
Any kid from any school is welcome to attend this camp.
