St. Aloysius, Warren Central fall in road basketball games
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — St. Aloysius and Warren Central High Schools both suffered road basketball losses on Thursday night as they continued their early-season schedules.
St. Aloysius
The St. Aloysius boys’ team dropped a close 47-44 contest to the Jackson Victors. Carter Henderson led the Flashes with 13 points, while Carson Gleese followed with 12. Carson Henderson and Alan Stauts each scored six points, and Garrod Bunch, Cole Nolan, and Walt Andrews added two points apiece. Grant Gattle rounded out the scoring with one point.
In the junior high matchup, the St. Aloysius boys fell 43-13 to the Victors. Noah Ponder led with four points, followed by Reeves Sadler, Owen Mallard, Jackson Ratliff, and Donald Radar, who each scored two. Adam Dorbeck contributed one point. The Flashes will look to bounce back on Monday when they travel to face Prairie View Academy.

Warren Central’s varsity teams also came up short against Yazoo City. The Viking boys were defeated 56-47 despite a strong 15-point performance from Deric Gibbs. Davon O’Neal added nine points, Camryn Walker had eight, Kylan Randle scored seven, Jaylen DeFrance finished with five, Avery Williams had two, and Landon Burks chipped in one.
In the girls’ game, Warren Central fell 33-29. Keasia Williams led with eight points, followed by Camara Evans with seven. Arrionna Jenkins added five, Ka’Ryn Henderson scored four, Destiney Lisenbee had three, and Shaniya Lewis finished with one.
The Vikings will return to action Saturday in the Raymond Shootout.
