Telecommunicators Spotlight: Hunter Ivey

National Telecommunicators Week is coming up in April. Vicksburg Warren 911 has several telecommunication professionals who work day and night to keep you safe. This series of articles will highlight each one.
This week we are featuring Hunter Ivey. With a passion for helping others, Hunter Ivey has devoted over a decade to public service.
For the past four years, Ivey has worked as a 911 dispatcher, drawn to the role because of his commitment to the community. Ivey is also a 10-year veteran of the Warren County fire service, selflessly giving his time to protect and serve. When he’s not on duty, you can find him hunting or fishing.
Ivey’s dedication and care for his community is clear in everything he does. Hunter grew up splitting his time between Vicksburg and Port Gibson. Hunter was homeschooled. Hunter is currently attending Meridian Community College pursuing a degree in Emergency Management.
