The Bears won the YMCA Basketball Championship

Vicksburg, Miss.-The Bears are officially the YMCA Basketball Champions after wrapping up a successful undefeated season last week. They finished the season with a 6-0 record in the 11-13 year old age group.

The Bears played their last game against the Giants where they finished with a 27-24 win. Darius O’Neal led the Bears with 10 points and Gayvin Turner added 9. Troy Thomas put up six points and CJ Smith scored two points. For the Giants, Richard Albert scored 11 points and Brooks Caruthers put up six points. Ryker Middleton, Randall Moore and Brandon Hall all scored two points while Decatur Morgan hit a free throw. 

The Bears consist of Darius O’Neal, Daylon Henley, CJ Smith, Gavin Marshall, Troy Thomas, Greyson Mailhot, Bennett Hoemann, and Gayvin Turner.
