The Exchange Club of Vicksburg presents a check to the Vicksburg Child and Parent Center

On Monday, the Exchange Club of Vicksburg graciously presented a $5,300 check to Vicksburg Child and Parent Center (formerly known as CAP Center).
The Exchange Club raised the funds during its first annual golf tournament, an event that saw significant support from the community. The tournament took place at the Clear Creek Golf Course. Prominent sponsors included the Warren County Board of Supervisors, City of Vicksburg, and the United Way of Central Mississippi.
“The Exchange Club and Parent Center aims to keep families together and they are Judge Southerland’s eyes and ears for that child in court,” Jerry Phillips said.
The organization not only runs programs tailored for children and teens but also offers support to parents. Their collaborative approach with the community helps in maintaining family unity, especially during challenging times like financial difficulties, medical crises, or daily struggles.
Executive Director Avis Phillips emphasized the organization’s continuous need for volunteers, urging those interested to contact them at 601-634-0557.
Additionally, the Exchange Club announced plans for another golf tournament set for September 2024.
