Ward 1 Yard of the Month

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Alderman T.J. Mayfield is pleased to announce that the property located at 2308 Drummond Street has been selected as the April Yard of the Month recipient, recognizing unique dedication to neighborhood beautification and community pride.

The Yard of the Month program highlights residents who go above and beyond in maintaining their properties, contributing to the overall appeal and livability of the ward. The April award winner at 2308 Drummond Street stood out for its landscaping, vibrant seasonal plantings, and consistent upkeep. 

“We have a ton of submissions in the Fosteria and Drummond Street area, and this month, both submissions were worthy of being named yard of the month. The voters have spoken, and 2308 Drummond won with 53% of the vote in a tightly contested Facebook poll. Seeing the spirit of the competition for a great cause is always a fun thing.”

As part of the recognition, the property will display a Yard of the Month sign and will be acknowledged in ward communications.

Alderman Mayfield encourages all residents to participate in the program by maintaining and enhancing their outdoor spaces. Nominations for upcoming months can be submitted through the alderman’s office.
