The Junior Auxillary presents “Laces for Love” – a race to benefit the children of Warren County

The Junior Auxillary of Vicksburg is hosting the first “Laces for Love,” a race to benefit the children of Warren County.
The proceeds from the race will help fund the Junior Auxillary and the many projects they organize to serve the community. Those projects include Camp Silvercloud and assisting at Good Shepard Community Center. Camp Silvercloud is an annual summer camp for the mentally and physically challenged, giving them a real camp experience.
The Junior Auxillary also works with the Children’s Shelter and the Lifting Lives family shelter along with other community-based projects.
The race will feature a 10k run, a 5k run, a 5k walk and a fun run. The 10k race will start in front of Milanos on Washington Street. From there it will wind through the community including going down Chambers Street and Glenwood Circle. It will circle back to downtown and finish in front of Milanos.
The race will be on Saturday, February 10, and will start at 8 a.m. in downtown Vicksburg. You can sign up by clicking here.
The Junior Auxiliary is an endeavor on the part of women to be active and constructive community participants and to assume leadership roles in meeting community needs.
