Fire claims home on Redbone
A single-family structure on Redbone burned and will be a complete loss.
At around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, a call came into 911 that a home in the 1800 block of Redbone was filling with smoke. A short time later a radio call relayed that flames were visible and a fire was spreading fast.
The first Warren County firefighters to arrive attacked the fire through the front door but soon had to back out. Within minutes the structure was engulfed in flames with thick dark smoke rolling off of it. As additional units arrived they forced a massive amount of water on the structure but were unable to stop the flames from spreading. The fire had spread too far by that time.
Firefighters from all over Warren County responded to the fire and assisted where they could.
An adjacent home to the west had a small fire near the garage. Alert firefighters noticed the flames and were able to put out the fire before it spread.
