Lance Corporal Isaiah D. Kirkley joined the United States Marine Corps in September 2021 and completed basic training at Paris Island in December 2021.

After graduating, Kirkley went to Camp Geiger for Marine Combat Training (MCT) and graduated in January 2022. He then attended the Naval Air Technical Training Center in Pensacola, Florida.

Once Kirkley completed his MOS training, he briefly served at Marine Air Station Cherry Point. His permanent duty station is now Marine Corps Air Station New River in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

In October 2022, he joined MALS-26 attached to VMM-162 (REIN) and deployed with the 26th MEU (SOC) in the TRICOM regions.

While deployed, his unit operated in the Middle East for 5-6 months and participated in operations in the Eastern Mediterranean. He returned to his home unit in March.

Kirkley currently serves as a 6541 Aviation Ordnance Systems Technician in the USMC.

“He’s a very sweet loving young man. He enjoys working out and hanging out with his coworkers when they are off duty.” said his mother, Amanda Kirkley.
