Three-Vehicle Accident in Front of River Region: Eyewitness Account
Just before 3:30 p.m., a three car collision occured on Highway 61 North at the light in front of Merit Health River Region.
According to an eyewitness, a Chevy Silverado was northbound and made impact with two vehicles, a Hyundai and a Kia, stopped at the light. “They hit so hard it knocked the tire out from under the back of the vehicle,” said eyewitness, John Kirby Day.
A Warren County Fire Fighter was near the scene of the accident and was the first to arrive on the scene. He reported a pregnant woman was injured. A few minutes later another ambulance was dispatched to the scene of the accident to treat two additional injured people.
Several units with Warren County, including Engine 205 are en route to the accident that currently has three people injured and the northbound lane is partially blocked.
