Tunica man sentenced to 20 years for manslaughter

On Monday, June 24, 2024, Quinterrance Vardaman, 26, of Tunica, MS was sentenced to serve 20 years in prison in the Mississippi Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to manslaughter for the shooting death at Kirby Estates Apartments in Robinsonville, MS of Trevon Bell, 18-year-old of Tunica, MS.
Quniterrance Vardaman is also being detained, as of July 27, 2023, and has been charged with First Degree Murder for the shooting death of Jimmy Dotson, 35-year-old, from Tunica, MS that occurred July 3, 2023.
Moreover, Vardaman has not been indicted on this charge – other arrests have been made in relation to the murder of Jimmy Dotson and indictments will be sought.
