Two locals page for Rep. Ford

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Two Vicksburg natives had the opportunity to page for State House of Representatives.

McKenzie Galarza and Gianna Galarza paged for the Mississippi House of Representatives this week.

M. Galarza, 15, is a freshman at River City Early College, and she was sponsored by Kevin Ford. She said the experience was a wonderful opportunity to learn.

“This is my second year on the representative side, and it was a very nice second experience. Being able to have this opportunity was great and gave me skills to grow as a person,” she said.

G. Galarza, 13, is an eight grade student at Porters Chapel Academy. Andrew Kethings was the sponsor.

“My experience as a page in the Mississippi House of Representatives was great. I loved every moment of this week. Thank you for the amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to come back next year!” said G. Galarza of the experience.
