UPDATE: Two dead in apparent murder/suicide at Eagle Lake identified

The couple involved in what police say is a murder/suicide at Eagle Lake have been identified.

According to Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace, Steven Junior Craft, 41, had a long history of domestic violence situations, including against the victim, Gabrielle Summer Tatum, 28.

On the night of the incident, Pace says Craft was on the phone with a relative and told them he was about to kill Tatum and them himself. The relative alerted Warren County, who sent deputies to the scene.

When the deputies arrived, they had to force entry into the home and found the couple both shot to death with the weapon on the ground next to Craft.

The case is still under investigation as a murder/suicide, Pace said.
