University of Southern Mississippi Special Teams Coach Greg Meyer has been suspended for two weeks without pay following a DUI arrest.

USM Head Coach Will Hall made the announcement Tuesday of his decision on Meyer’s arrest.

“That’s something that can be a fireable offense,” Hall said. “I went to work with the administration and we did our homework looking at Greg and his past. I knew Greg pretty well, and there was not anything we found from his past. He’s been an upstanding individual.”

The upcoming 2021 season will be Meyer’s first with the team after spending the last three years at the University of Georgia as a special teams analyst.

Meyer will also be forbidden to use his school issued vehicle while on suspension.
