On Thursday, December 19, 2024, deputies with the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department in cooperation with the Pearl Police Department arrested Joshua Daniel Pace for Making Terroristic Threats.

From approximately 10:13pm(Wednesday, 12/18/24) to 8:52am on yesterday(Thursday, 12/19/24); the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department Communications Division received in excess of 20 phone calls where the
911 Dispatchers were threatened with physical violence and the caller even threatened to “blow up” the sheriff’s office.

After investigators with the sheriff’s office obtained the call recordings and identified the suspect’s phone number, Pace was found to be the subscriber.

At that time an arrest warrant was sought and obtained for Joshua Pace through the Rankin County Court. Once Pace was taken into custody it was discovered that he was out on
Parole through the MS Department of Corrections for Elder Abuse. Joshua
Pace is currently being held at the Rankin County Detention Center on $100.000 bond.
This is an on-going investigation.

The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department would like to express its appreciation to the Pearl Police Department for their assistance in capturing Pace.
