VFCU celebrates National Credit Union Youth Month

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vickswood Federal Credit Union (VFCU) is celebrating April as National Credit Union Youth Month by offering local youth, 17 and younger, the opportunity to open a savings account. As part of the promotion, those who open a new account will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $25 deposit.

In addition to the savings account promotion, Vickswood is also hosting a coloring contest for children ages 0 to 12. The winner, chosen by the VFCU’s Facebook followers, will receive a $25 deposit.

The youth account opening and coloring contest are part of a broader initiative to promote financial literacy among young people and encourage early saving habits.
