Vicksburg, Miss.-Vicksburg High School hosted their annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Softball vs. Baseball Game on Thursday. The game is one way that the Gators’ program gives back to the community by raising funds for kids with incarcerated parents who may not have a special Christmas.

Last night, both the softball and baseball went at it with each other along with some interesting new rules that were attached to the charity game. The Missy Gators were able to get a host of home runs due to donations made while Baseball Coach Brandon Kincaid relived his glory days by hitting an inside-the-park home run.

Overall, many toys and cash were donated for the cause while members of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office were present. The gifts will be handed over to needy children in our community, thanks to both the softball and baseball teams who played in the cold weather for a good cause.
