VICKSBURG, MS – Vicksburg High School football team will host their first district game of the season on Friday against Neshoba Central.

Although the Gators are 0-5 this season, Friday night will give them a clean slate. None of the Gators games so far have been district games, leaving the team with a chance to still see play-off action for this year.

The Rockets are currently 1-4 with their lone victory coming from a 35-21 win over West Lauderdale.

Both VHS and Neshoba had their bye-weeks last week, giving both teams extra time to prepare for Friday’s game.

In last year’s face-off, the Gators had numerous starters out for injury, allowing Neshoba a knife-edge victory, 21-20.

Friday’s game will start at 7 pm.
