Vicksburg High releases 2025 ninth grade football schedule

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg High School has announced its 2025 ninth grade football schedule, featuring a competitive slate of games set to kick off in late August. The young Gators will be led by Paul Wilson Jr., who also serves as the defensive coordinator for the varsity football team.

The six-game schedule opens at home on August 26 against Pearl. The team will then hit the road for back-to-back matchups against Germantown on September 2 and Brandon on September 16. Vicksburg will return home to host Clinton on September 9, and Warren Central in a highly anticipated crosstown rivalry on September 30. A road game at Madison on September 23 rounds out the season.

In addition to regular season action, key preseason events have also been scheduled. Media Day will be held on July 22 at 9:00 a.m., giving fans, families, and local media a first look at the team. “Meet The Gators,” a community event celebrating the start of the football season, is set for August 21 at 6:00 p.m.

The Vicksburg ninth grade team is preparing for what hopes to be a promising season on the gridiron as the season is quickly approaching.
