Vicksburg native Garrett Orgas-Fisher commits to Coastal Carolina

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg native Garrett Orgas-Fisher has announced his commitment to play football at Coastal Carolina University. The standout defensive back made the announcement on social media over the weekend.

Before choosing Coastal Carolina, Orgas-Fisher fielded offers from Central Arkansas, Eastern Michigan, Hampton, Hawaii, Morgan State, Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, and UT-Martin.

Orgas-Fisher recently completed his sophomore season at Pearl River Community College, where he posted 51 tackles and one interception for the Wildcats.

Before his college career, Orgas-Fisher was a key player at Warren Central High School under Head Coach Josh Morgan. He helped lead the Vikings to a district championship, recording 89 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, four interceptions, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery during his senior season.

At Coastal Carolina, Orgas-Fisher will continue his career under Head Coach Tim Beck and a veteran coaching staff.
