Vicksburg police reports for November 9

North Carolina suspects in court
On Wednesday, November 8, law enforcement officers of the Vicksburg Police Department along with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office were involved in the arrests of a wanted female fugitive and her male companion.
Nyshia Daniels, 23, of Farmville, North Carolina, was taken into custody on North Carolina warrants related to armed robberies.
Also arrested was Tyrik Suggs, 26, of Apex, North Carolina, who had initially given a false name at the time of his arrest. Suggs faces charges of Felony Eluding, Hindering Prosecution, and False Information to a Police Officer.
Daniels and Suggs appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Thursday, November 9, before Judge Angela Carpenter. Daniels waived her extradition to North Carolina.
Suggs was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury on a $70,000 bond.
One arrested in connection with shooting
Shcobey Wildee, 25, of Vicksburg was taken into custody shortly before midnight on Wednesday, November 8. He is charged with Drive-By Shooting, Shooting Into an Occupied Dwelling, Shooting an Unoccupied Vehicle, and three counts of Aggravated Assault.
His arrest stems from an incident that occurred earlier that evening where he allegedly shot into a residence on Sherman Avenue in an on-going dispute over a woman.
Appearing before Judge Angela Carpenter in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Thursday, November 9, Wilde received a $500,000 bond and was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
Two in court for alleged methamphetamine possession
A traffic stop on Tuesday, November 7, resulted in the arrest of two persons for possession of illegal drugs. Initially stopped for Careless Driving, the female driver of the red Chevrolet pickup truck, Morgan Gary, 38, of Vicksburg, allowed the officers to search the vehicle. A baggie containing approximately 1.5 grams of methamphetamine was found inside the truck. Gary and her male passenger, James Whatley, 41, of Vicksburg were both arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine.
Gary and Whatley appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Thursday, November 9. Judge Angela Carpenter set Gary’s bond at $25,000 and bound her over to the Warren County Grand Jury. Whatley’s bond was set at $30,000 and he, too, was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
Vicksburg man arrested on methamphetamine charges
Scotty Shiers, 21, of Vicksburg was arrested Thursday, November 9, after approximately 5 grams of methamphetamine was found in his possession during a traffic stop.
Charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Shiers appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Thursday, November 9, 2023, before Judge Angela Carpenter.
Shiers’ bond was set at $15,000 and he was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
