Vicksburg woman arrested for shooting her boyfriend

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A woman in Vicksburg has been arrested for allegedly shooting her boyfriend.

On Friday, September 12, 2025, at approximately 2118 hours, Officers with the Vicksburg Police Department responded to the 100 block of Athens Avenue in reference to a disturbance where an individual had been shot.

Upon arrival Lash Rogers (47 years of age) had an apparent gunshot wound, and reported he was shot by his girlfriend April Lane(41 years of age). Officers processed the scene, wherein evidence of a disturbance was found. April Lane was arrested on scene, and Rogers was transported to University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he was treated and later released.

On Monday September 15, 2025, Lane appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter for her initial appearance on the charge of Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault. Lane’s bond was set at sixty thousand dollars.
