Vicksburg’s Mincer Minor IV Leads Mississippi Junior Colleges in Pass Deflections

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg native Mincer Minor IV is now has the most pass deflections amongst Mississippi Junior College football players. In the first four weeks of play, Minor leads the state with seven pass deflections.

Minor, a freshman cornerback at Mississippi Delta Community College, has quickly made an impact on defense. He recorded three pass deflections in his first game against Jones College and later snagged his first collegiate interception in a matchup with Northeast Mississippi Community College.

A 2025 graduate of Vicksburg High School, Minor helped the Gators reach the postseason twice while playing under head coaches Christopher Lacey and Todd McDaniel.
