VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Sam Andrews has been named to the Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 for 2026, an annual recognition of the state’s outstanding young professionals who are excelling in their fields and making significant contributions to their industries and communities.
Andrews, 30, a Vicksburg native, serves as a senior advisor in the office of Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves and owns Anchuca Historic Mansion and Inn in downtown Vicksburg with his wife, Anna Kate Andrews.
The Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 honors leadership, entrepreneurship, and career accomplishment among Mississippians under the age of 40. Honorees are selected by a panel of business and community leaders.
In his role on the governor’s staff, Andrews manages a wide-ranging portfolio across state government, including economic development, external affairs, special projects, and federal relations. Reeves has appointed him to numerous posts, including naming him the state’s designee to the Delta Regional Authority, the Appalachian Regional Commission, and the Southern Crescent Regional Commission, and to the Mississippi Republican Party’s Executive Committee and the Mississippi Civil War Battlefield Commission, among others.
“Great things can happen when you’re surrounded by great people,” Andrews said. “Governor Reeves, our chief of staff Anne Hall Brashier, my family, and so many others have been exactly that in my life. This was made possible because I’ve been supported and sharpened by some of the best Mississippi has to offer, and I couldn’t be more grateful.”
The recognition comes shortly after Andrews was named to the 2026 Mississippi Top 100, an annual list of the state’s most influential leaders across business, government, media, culture, and community.
