Vikings Shutout Columbus 35-0 in their Regular Season Finale

Columbus, Ms-Warren Central High School football team ended the regular season undefeated in district play as they shutout Columbus 35-0 on Thursday. The Vikings finished the year as district champions with an overall 7-3 record under Head Coach Josh Morgan.

Aden Greer got the Vikings on the board first after a 3-yard touchdown run which was followed by a successful extra point from Jonah Artman to go up 7-0. By halftime, WC had a 28-0 lead after Eric Collins Jr. scored two rushing touchdowns from 3 and 14 yards. Nash Morgan also hit Jaylon “Red” Winters on a 54-yard touchdown pass.

Coming out of halftime, WC got on the board once more after Greer scored on a 12-yard run. That last score forced a running clock as the Vikings quickly put the game away. Artman went 5 for 5 in extra points.

Due to their successful season, WC has earned home-field advantage for next week’s playoff game.
