Warren Central fell short to Jim Hill on Thursday
Warren Central High School basketball teams fell short to Jim Hill on Thursday night.
Girls:
The Lady Vikes took a 48-27 loss last night. The first quarter remained close WC trailed 12-8 while Ballet Duty knocked down a 3-pointer. By halftime, Jim Hill had a 24-13 lead.
Madison Ward and Keasia Williams both contributed for WC in the second half but Jim Hill even took home the win. Duty and Camara Evans both scored six points each for WC while Ward, Williams, and Arrionna Jenkins all scored five points.
Boys:
The boys took a 53-44 loss to Jim Hill as the game remained tight in all four quarters. Shortly before halftime, Deric Gibbs hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer as WC trailed 25-20.
Jonas Moore stepped up in the second half while Daniel Brown hit three 3-pointers as the Vikings took the lead once late in the game but JH eventually came out on top.
Gibbs led WC with 15 points and Moore added 12. Brown scored 11 points. Davon O’Neal added three points while Robert Williams scored two points and Camryn Walker hit a free throw.
