Warren Central Sweeps Vicksburg High in Volleyball Match

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN)Warren Central High School’s volleyball program swept Vicksburg High on Monday night, with both the varsity and junior varsity teams earning decisive victories.

The Lady Vikes’ varsity team defeated Vicksburg in three straight sets, 25-13, 25-5 and 25-23. Ka’ Ryn Henderson led Warren Central with 13 total points, including 3 aces and 10 kills, while also recording several assists. Lauren Stamps added 7 points with 3 aces and 4 kills. Kennedi Zellous contributed 7 kills, Kamryn Kelly posted 4 aces and 3 kills along with 11 assists, and Kylie Hearn tallied 5 aces and 9 assists to help seal the win.

For VHS, Jada Erwin led the Missy Gators with 8 points and 8 digs, while Amari Johnson recorded 6 points and 9 digs. Jordan Grace added 6 points and 6 digs, and Jamiya Stewart chipped in 7 points and 5 digs.

Warren Central’s junior varsity team also came out on top, sweeping Vicksburg 25-10 and 25-7. Owen and Pernell contributed six points combined during the match, while Henderson again stood out with 13 points, including 3 aces and 10 kills.

For the Missy Gators, JaKeyla Curry scored 1 point with 2 digs, while Zaria Jones led the team with 3 points and 2 digs. Harmony Harris added 1 point and 4 digs, and Zipporah Drake posted 2 points and 5 digs.
