WC crushes Center Hill in game one; PCA and VHS took losses

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —Warren Central High School baseball team easily put away Center Hill on Friday night in an 11-1 win. The Vikings are now in a good position to clinch the series as game two game will be played tonight.
WC used their batting skills to secure the win as they finished with 12 hits on the day. Tristan Jamison hit three doubles and finished with five RBIs while Hayes Loper nailed two doubles, two RBIs, and three overall hits. Maddox Lynch finished with two hits while Trace Hood(1 RBI) hit a double. Blake Caruthers(2 RBIs), Jacob Kealhofer(1 RBI), and Lester Martin all collected one hit in the win.
Nathaniel Moore pitched the entire game where he struck out seven batters.
PCA’s season ends:
Porter’s Chapel Academy’s baseball season ended with a 10-0 loss to Lamar Christian last night.
Conley Johnston got the lone hit for the Eagles and Evan Gordon struck out five batters. Davenport earned the win for Lamar Christian. He gave up zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out seven and walking two. Evan Gordan pitched three and one-third innings in relief.
PCA ended their season 3-23 on the year.
VHS:
The Gators fell short 10-0 against Saltillo in game one. The playoff game lasted five innings.
Mincer Minor IV hit a triple for VHS and Abel Gonzalez struck out one batter. He went four innings, giving up nine runs (four earned) on five hits, striking out one and walking seven. Game two will be held today.
