WC Soccer Teams Finished Saturday with Wins at the Laurel Tournament

Laurel, Ms –Warren Central High School soccer teams picked up wins at the Laurel Tournament on Saturday.

Girls:

The Lady Vikes defeated Newton County 2-1 where Addi Mullen and Kennedy Smith both scored one goal each while Emily Harvey had 10 saves. WC also beat Poplarville 5-1 where Jordan Polk had four goals and Evella Fairley scored one. Harvey also grabbed four saves in the win.

The Lady Vikes are now 3-2 on the year.

Boys:

The Vikings remain undefeated as they took down Purvis High School 3-0 in game one. Charlie Esparza led with two goals and Jacob Porter added one. Luke Bond had two assists and Eriam Diaz-Mejlas had 1. Several Vikings made good defensive plays including Ebrahim Shuaibi, Conner Leverette, Jackson Holden, Blake Hern, and goalkeeper Jamarian Shelly.

In game two, WC shutout Hattiesburg 6-0 where Jacob Porter scored two goals and Duke Esparza, Whit Loper, Mohammed Shuaibi, and Goalkeeper Jamarian Shelly each added 1 goal.

The Vikings are 4-0-1 on the season and they will host Terry on Tuesday at Key City Parks.
