WC’s Davenport commits to East Central CC

Warren Central High School football player Gavin Davenport has committed to playing at East Central Community College. Davenport made the news public on Saturday when he announced his decision over social media.

Davenport is a senior linebacker who totaled 88 tackles, 56 solos, one interception, and one touchdown in 2023. He was also named to the All-County and All-District Teams last year and the Vikings finished with a 9-3 record.

Davenport’s senior season will begin next Friday when WC hosts Clinton High during the Red Carpet Bowl.
