WC’s Nash Morgan Ready For Sophomore Year as QB1
VICKSBURG, MS. – After earning the starting quarterback spot last season, Warren Central’s Nash Morgan is all confident about the 2024 season and what it has to offer.
Morgan, the sophomore standout, is no longer a freshman and is now ready to put in some serious work on the football field. As he is now well-experienced on the varsity level, Nash now knows what it takes for WC to be great in 2024.
“I’m real excited and we got a lot of guys that came back and offensively we’re a lot stronger but a state championship is the goal,” Morgan said.
In 2023, Nash led the Vikings to a 9-3 season and a trip to the second round of the playoffs. Although he was a huge part of that success, he testified that his teammates were the true stars.
“Last year gave me a lot of experience to be ready for what’s coming but the pressure wasn’t on me last year because I had so much help from my teammates just as I do now,” Morgan added.
Nash threw eight touchdowns last year as a freshman but he’s now officially QB1 at the start of the season which begins on Friday.
WC will host Clinton tomorrow during the Red Carpet Bowl.
