Wicked sing-along and free popcorn this Saturday at the Strand

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Strand Theatre will host a Wicked sing-along this Saturday, May 10, beginning at 7 p.m.

Not just for New Englanders, the event features a sing-along version of the movie Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Oz. The film stars Emmy, Grammy and Tony Award winner Cynthia Erivo (Harriet, Broadway’s The Color Purple) as Elphaba, a young woman misunderstood because of her unusual green skin, and Grammy-winning recording artist Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman defined by privilege and ambition.

Tickets are $9 in advance at Highway 61 Coffee or $10 at the door, and as always, popcorn is free.

The Strand Theatre is located at 717 Clay St. in downtown Vicksburg.
