The Warren Central High School girls’ soccer team achieved an impressive 5-0 victory against their crosstown rivals, Vicksburg High, on Monday.

“We really saw all our hard work pay off last night. It was amazing to see everything come together,” expressed WC Head Coach Jeremy Lawrence.

The Lady Vikes wasted no time, securing their first goal just 12 minutes into the game. By halftime, they had surpassed their opponents, reaching a comfortable 3-0 lead.

As the second half commenced, WC continued to dominate and added another goal to their tally. With goalkeeper Haleigh Simmons making four impressive saves, the Missy
Gators were unable to score.

With a current record of 13-4, the Lady Vikes are on the brink of clinching the district title. Their next challenge, scheduled for Thursday, is against Columbus, and a victory would secure their position at the top.
