Missy Gators defeated Columbus on Monday

The Vicksburg High School girls’ basketball team secured a solid victory, defeating Columbus with a score of 42-34 in the opening round of the district tournament on Monday.

During the game, Kierra James and Rodrianna Hall displayed a remarkable performance by contributing 16 points apiece to the team’s win. James also grabbed 11 rebounds on the night. Additionally, Cynia Johnson and Kenley Henderson each contributed four points, with Johnson also impressing with eight rebounds. Smiley rounded off the team’s score with two points.

As a result of their victory, the Missy
Gators are set to face off against Neshoba Central on Wednesday.
