John Weaver named athletic director at Madison-Ridgeland Academy

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —
John Weaver, a Vicksburg native and Warren Central High School alumnus, has been named athletic director at Madison-Ridgeland Academy.
Weaver announced the appointment on social media, where he expressed his excitement about the opportunity.
“This has been a dream for many years,” Weaver said in a Facebook post. “Grateful for the opportunity and honored to take on the responsibility of serving alongside our outstanding coaches and student-athletes.”
Weaver previously served as Madison-Ridgeland Academy’s athletic advancement coordinator and head boys track coach. He also served as a football coach and earned the opportunity to coach in the MAIS Class 5A/6A All-Star Game in 2024.
