Vicksburg High School boys’ basketball team secured a spot in the second round of the playoffs following a dominant 82-47 victory over Lake Cormorant on Saturday night.

The game began with an impressive display as the Gators swiftly surged ahead to a 24-10 lead in the first quarter. Kealon Bass showcased his
sharpshooting skills with two clutch 3-pointers, complemented by scoring contributions from Tyler Henderson and Kam Bailey. As the first half concluded, VHS maintained a commanding 39-18 advantage, with Davian Williams and Mikey Johnson capitalizing on free throw opportunities.

After halftime, Bass continued his stellar performance by sinking two additional 3-pointers, while Johnson and Jaylin Jackson also delivered from beyond the arc. Heading into the final quarter, VHS held a substantial 63-35 lead, with DeCorey Knight Jr.
extending the lead with a well-timed 3-pointer, supported by Henderson and Brycen Jones adding to the scoreboard.

Henderson led the team with 14 points, closely followed by Bass, Johnson, and Bailey, each contributing 12 points. Williams finished with 10 points, and Knight added nine to the
